News From the Cellar Door

It's that time of year when you get to see all the hard work the wine makers have put into their 2009 vintages.

We have recently released two of our 2009 white wines, our 2009 Chenin Blanc and our 2009 Chesters blend. The Chenin Blanc is a drier style showing some very nice tropical fruit characters whilst the Blend is sweeter with some similar fruit salad characters.

We have recenently entered a range of wines into the 2009 Cairns wine show, we were very pleased to receive some positive feedback from the 2009 show after winning 5 bronze medals and 1 silver.
The wines that were awarded were:
2009 Damascus (Bronze)
2009 Chesters Blend (Bronze)
2007 Shiraz (Bronze)
2007 Cabernet Shiraz (Bronze)
2009 Viognier (Bronze)
2008 Chardonnay (Silver)

The 2008 Chardonnay and 2009 Damascus were second best in both their classes.We're very pleased with this result especially due to it being a national event.
